HSBC and Mastercard Launch Hong Kong’s First Mobile Virtual Corporate Card

HSBC and Mastercard have announced the launch of Hong Kong’s first mobile virtual corporate card for commercial customers.

Starting 19 June 2025, eligible HSBC commercial clients enrolled in the HSBC Virtual Mastercard Programme will gain access to new digital wallet compatibility for virtual cards.

Through the Virtual Card Portal, businesses can instantly issue virtual cards and add them to supported digital wallets via the Mastercard In Control Pay mobile app—enabling immediate use.

Users will also be able to activate or deactivate the mobile virtual cards anytime, from anywhere.

By combining the advantages of virtual cards with the ease of mobile payments, this solution simplifies transactions for both online and in-store purchases, as well as supplier payments.
